Bearded Badger Games LLC (“Bearded Badger Games,” “we,” “us”) is a small game studio based in Virginia, USA. This policy explains what information we collect through beardedbadgergames.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect as little as we can, and we never sell your information.

What we collect

Your email address, if you sign up to become an early playtester. That's the only thing the signup form asks for.
Messages you send us, such as emails to our press or privacy inbox, including your name and anything you choose to include.
Basic technical data that any website receives when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting and security provider processes this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't ask for payment details, and we don't run advertising trackers on this site.

How we use it

To send you playtest invitations, development updates, devlogs and studio news. Signing up as an early playtester means joining this mailing list; that's how invites reach you.
To choose and contact playtesters for each playtest wave, and to follow up on feedback you give us.
To reply to messages you send us.
To keep the website running, secure and free of spam or abuse.

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the studio, and only so they can do that work for us:

Kit (kit.com), which stores our mailing list and sends our emails.
Cloudflare, which hosts this website, provides security and handles our email forwarding.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our players, our studio or others.

Cookies

We don't use cookies for advertising or to track you across other sites. Our hosting provider may set a small security cookie to tell real visitors apart from bots. Our email provider may record whether an email was opened or a link was clicked so we can see what's useful to players.

Your choices

Unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of every email we send. You'll stop getting updates and playtest invites.
Ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing privacy@beardedbadgergames.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law. Contact us and we'll help.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we remove it, except for any minimal record we need to honor that request or meet a legal obligation.

Security

We use reputable providers and limit access to your information to the people who need it to run the studio. No method of storing or sending data online is completely secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.

Children

This site and our mailing list are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email privacy@beardedbadgergames.com and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll let subscribers know by email.
